COREY FLOOD BUILDING, Royal Oak, Michigan

This project involved the stabilization and renovation of a building that had been started and abandoned by a previous owner. The building had been vacant and unfinished for 6 years prior to our involvement. Our first task involved convincing the city that we could save the building and having a demolition order rescinded.

We reinforced the structure, removed the north wall to install a masonry firewall, redesigned the façade, selecting a stainless steel shingle system and custom designed aluminum panels for a clean modern exterior.

The building interior was designed to accommodate two local law firms and includes a covered second floor patio.
